Wade Miller and sophomore
Mark Troiano were named to the 2013 All-North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Team. The pair received Honorable Mention All-NCAC singles selections.
Miller, a product of nearby North Montgomery High School, posted a 9-12 overall record at number one singles for the Wabash College squad. A First Team All-NCAC pick in 2011 and 2012, Miller finished the season tied for ninth with Tom Jeffers for career victories among Wabash players with 47. Teammate
Ian Leonard leads the list with 74 victories, followed by Jay Horrey (73), Mark Ratner (63), Dave Brooks (54), Greg Milis and Scott Paramoure (each with 51), and Rick and
Peter Gunderman (each with 48). Miller finished 17-11 in doubles play this season, including an 11-6 mark at number two doubles. He ranks ninth in career doubles wins with 51, trailing Leonard's all-time mark of 73 victories.
Troiano earned Honorable Mention honors in his first full season of tennis at Wabash. His 20-10 singles record was the best among Little Giant players this season. Troiano turned in a 19-8 singles record in dual matches, including an 11-4 mark at number four singles. His 20 victories ties for seventh-best single season mark in Wabash tennis history, trailing Horrey (25 in 2006), Miller (23 in 2011), Leonard (22 in 2010), Ratner (21 in 1999), Rickey Ritter (21 in 2011), and Leonard again (21 in 2012). Troiano finished 19-12 in doubles play, including a 13-8 record at number doubles.
Wabash finished 16-13 overall. The Little Giants took sixth place over the weekend at the 2013 NCAC Men's Tennis Tournament at Oberlin College.
