The Wabash indoor track and field team opened the 2014-15 season Saturday at the non-scoring JE/Alumni Open held at the University of Indianapolis.

The Little Giants posted three first-place performances.
Sean Lewis won the mile run with a time of 4:29.37.
Joey Conti turned in the top time in the 400-meter dash, winning the race with a time of 51.38. Teammate
Joel Whittington finished in 52.41 for fourth place.
Cole Seward crossed the finish line in 52.84 to grab fifth place.

Ronnie Posthauer was one of four Wabash runners to earn a spot in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles. Posthauer won the event with a time of 8.24.
Adam Wadlington finished fifth overall (8.46), followed by
Nathan Mueller in sixth place (8.53) while Whittington finished eighth (9.05).

PJ Schafer cleared 1.86 meters (6 feet, 1-1/4 inches) to finish third in the high jump.
Arion Clanton's mark of 12.55 meters (41 feet, 2-1/4 inches) in the triple jump scored a fourth-place finish.
Lorenze Billups finished sixth with a mark of 11.89 meters (39 feet, 0-1/4 inches).
Ryan Guerrettaz took ninth place in the weight throw (12.76 meters; 41 feet, 10-1/2 inches).
Aaron Schuler finished 11th in the 60-meter dash (7.24).

Wabash is back in action January 17 when the Little Giants serve as hosts for the annual Robert H. Johnson Alumni Invitational.
