"Our top three ran great," Wabash head coach Colin Young said. "We had a good day to run with 60-degree weather on a fast course. We're coming around as a team heading into the conference meet. We'll add
Murphy Sheets and
Sam Henthorn. Both stayed back at Wabash today to recover from a little hip soreness. We should be even faster in two weeks and hopefully faster following that race."
Carnegie Mellon won the team competition with 75 points. Mount Union, one of the Little Giants Great Lakes Region opponents, placed second with 123 points. Wabash scored 138 for third place, leading Washington and Lee in fourth place with 160 points.
Â
The Little Giants will race at the NCAC Championships Sunday, October 30 at the LaVern Gibson cross country course in Terre Haute, Indiana. DePauw University is the host school for the meet.
