Wabash turned in a pair of top-seven individual finishes and five All-North Coast Athletic Conference performances at the 2016 men's Cross Country Championship race in Terre Haute, Indiana, Sunday. The Little Giants placed third out of nine teams.

Sophomore
Dominic Patacsil earned First Team All-NCAC honors with his fifth-place finish at the meet. He toured the LaVern Gibson 8.000-meter course in 25:43.8.
Mason McKinney also earned a place on the All-NCAC First Team with his time of 26:00.5 to finish in sixth place.

Colin Rinne was next to cross the finish line for Wabash, posting a time of 26:24.8 to grab 11th place and a spot on the All-NCAC Second Team.
Sam Henthorn and
Aaron Tincher received All-NCAC Honorable Mention recognition with their top-21 finishes. Henthorn was named the Newcomer of the Year as the highest freshmen finisher, placing 16th with a time of 26:48.1. Tincher grabbed the final All-NCAC Honorable Mention spot at 21st with a time of 27:17.4.

"We were a little disappointed but we know what we need to do to get be," Wabash head coach Colin Young said. "Our fourth and fifth guys, where we really felt we needed to improve, really stepped up and finished right where we needed them to be. Tincher made a big jump from 60th last year to 21st today.

"Dom Patacsil made the same kind of improvement from 21st last year to sixth today. Overall there were some positives, so that's a step in the right direction for the regional race in two weeks."

Freshman
Johnny Kirts just missed a spot on the all-conference team, placing 22nd in 27:23.1.
Murphy Sheets placed 43rd with a time of 28:15.0.
Hayden Baehl completed the loop in 28:41.3 for 50th place out of 101 competitors.
Andrew Brake place 62nd (29:05.9), while
Free Kashon finished 64th (29.12.1).

Drew Lukens raced to 72nd place (29:42.7.
Matthew Bailey placed 89th (31:20.2).

Allegheny won the men's team championship for the second consecutive season with 44 points.. DePauw finished second with 54 points. Wabash scored 58 points.
Allegheny's Daniel Cheung won the individual competition with a time of 25:17.7.
The Little Giants will compete at the NCAA DIII Great Lakes Regional on Saturday, November 12 at Hope College after serving as hosts of the annual J. Owen Huntsman Hokum Karem Saturday, November 5. Wabash has won the regional title each of the past three seasons.
