Wabash College senior Mason McKinney was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the period ending October 2, 2016.

McKinney placed third among a field of 388 runners competing in the Pre-Nationals race as part of the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic Saturday in Kentucky. McKinney finished the race with a time of 25:11.68.

The race served as a preview of the upcoming NCAA Division III National Championships meet to be held on the same course on November 19 of this year.

Wabash finished sixth out of 43 teams overall.
