A record-setting effort highlighted and two-meet weekend performance for the Wabash College indoor track and field team. The Little Giants ended by scoring a team win at the DePauw Invitational on Saturday.

Friday night a handful of Little Giants competed at the Eastern Illinois University Friday Night Special. Senior
Cole Seward set a new Wabash record in the 400-meter hurdles by turning in a time of 54.91, the quickest time among the four competitors in the event.

Hayden Baehl added a victory in the 800-meter run with a season-best time of 1:56.23.
Brady Gossett added a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash by crossing the line in 52.00, his career-best time.
Miles Barilla scored a sixth-place finish in the finals of the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.10.

Satchel Burton competed in the 60-meter hurdles, placing sixth overall by breaking the tape in 8.77.

Another group of Wabash men competed at the DePauw Invitational on Saturday. Junior
Austin Ellingwood scored a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash where he turned in a time of 51.20.
Connor Stumm placed first in the long jump with a leap of 6.47 meters (21 feet, 2.75 inches).
PJ Schafer added a fourth-place effort with a distance of 6.29 meters (20 feet, 7.75 inches). He also placed second in the high jump, clearing 1.88 meters (6 feet, 2 inches), and took third in the triple jump (11.89 meters; 39 feet, 0.25 inches).

Dallas Pitts Jr. and
Gaven Hill placed 1-2 in the shot put. Pitts won the event with a mark of 13.98 meters (45 feet, 10.50 inches), just ahead of Hill's toss of 13.96 meters (45 feet, 9.75 inches).

Dominic Patacsil placed second in the one-mile run by finishing in 4:21.53.
Aaron Tincher added a third-place finish in the 3,000-meter run, crossing the line in 9:17.60.

Burton earned another top finish in the 60-meter hurdles, placing second on Saturday with a time of 8.77, identical to his Friday evening effort.
John Dotlich added a third-place finish for Wabash with a time of 8.78.

Wabash tallied 115 points to win the team competition. DePauw finished second with 89 points, and Bellermine placed third (87) out of the 11 teams entered.

The Little Giants will have one final tune-up at the Anderson Invitational next Saturday prior to the annual North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
