Wabash College Athletics

The fourth-leading scorer in Wabash basketball history with 1,408 points, "The Wizard from Alamo" led the Little Giants to four consecutive appearances in the NCAA regional tournament. He still holds the Wabash single-game records for field goals and points with his 25-field goal, 63-point performance against the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1960-61.

Drafted by the New York Knicks, Bowerman opted instead to play with the Phillips 66'ers. He was named an AAU All-American in 1963-64 and was selected for a U.S. all-star team that toured Europe.
