Jake, the National Association of Wabash Men is reluctant to toss around phrases like “best ever” or “G.O.A.T.,” but when we’re talking about your four years on campus, we can safely say there was nobody better. On campus. In the North Coast Athletic Conference. In the nation.

Remarkably, you were a six-time All-American middle-distance runner who claimed not one, but two national championships – winning the 800 meters at the NCAA’s 2012 Outdoor and 2013 Indoor championship meets. And you were also the national runner-up in both the 2011 and 2012 Indoor Nationals. You added more All-American hardware by finishing seventh in the 800 at the 2010 Indoor Nationals and sixth in the 2011 Outdoor Nationals.

You were the backbone of three straight NCAC Indoor and Outdoor Championship teams by winning four straight indoor 800 titles, and you were also a member of the 2011 NCAC Champion cross country team.

You own the Wabash and Knowling Fieldhouse records for the indoor 800 meters, and you also hold indoor school records for the 4x400 and Distance Medley relays. You also hold the school record for the outdoor 800 with a time of 1:48.64.

Jake, when it comes to the 800 meters, you were indeed the best ever and our G.O.A.T. Therefore, the National Association of Wabash Men is proud to induct you into the Wabash Athletics Hall of Fame. Congratulations, Jake, you are Some Little Giant.
