John, you were unquestionably the most feared hitter in the North Coast Athletic Conference during your four-year onslaught on the record books. You started all 162 games you played and set the all-time records for home runs (41), RBIs (171), total bases (360), and slugging percentage (.641), while also setting single-season records for home runs, RBIs, and total bases. Your finest season came in 2011 when, as a junior, you posted simply mind-boggling numbers by hitting .373 with 12 home runs, 52 RBI, and 105 total bases en route to becoming a D3baseball.com Honorable Mention All-American. Pitchers eventually gave up and either walked you or hit you with pitches – you are first all-time having been hit by 31 pitches. A towering first-baseman, you were also an outstanding fielder, handling 99% of your more than 1,000 chances. You were a three-time First Team All-NCAC selection and a two-time NCAC Player of the Year.
