Wolff was a three-year letterman in football and was team captain in 1936, his senior year. An outstanding kicker and receiver for the Little Giants, he caught two touchdown passes in the 1936 Monon Bell Game --- a 19-0 win by Wabash --- and was presented the game ball by DePauw coach Gaumey Neal.
He retired after many years as an official at the Western Electric Company.
