A New Richmond, Indiana native, Chadwick played center on Wabash's fourth Wonder Five basketball team that finished 18-1 in 1924-25, losing only to Wisconsin by one point and beating Kentucky 57-10. A second team All-Western selection as a senior, Chadwick played professionally with the New York Celtics and the Fort Wayne Hoosiers, among other teams. A member of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, Chadwick died in 1973. The Wabash basketball facility was named Chadwick Court in his honor in 1970.
