The Wabash College indoor track and field team opened the 2023-24 season at Saturday's non-scoring Scott Fangman Invitational at the University of Indianapolis. The Little Giants produced four top-six finishes at the meet.
Howie Steele turned in the top performance for the Little Giants with a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash. Steele completed the race in 52.27.
Nate Joven cleared 4.16 meters (13 feet, 7.75 inches) to finish in fourth place in the pole vault.
Wyatt Dorsey scored a sixth-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 6.27 meters (20 feet, 7 inches).
Josh Massaquoi finished the 60-meter hurdles in 8.63 to claim fourth place in the finals.
Takeshi Greiner also qualified for the finals, placing eighth overall with a time of 8.94.
Wabash competes at Purdue University next Saturday.
