The Wabash College golf team played in the Port City Invitational in Savannah, Georgia, on March 6-7. The Little Giants tied for 13th out of 16 teams competing at the event.
Brayden Weiss turned in the top score for Wabash with a two-day total of 236 strokes. He shot an opening-round 78 at the Savannah Country club on Monday and followed by two rounds of 79 to finish tied for 32nd place in the individual standings.
Tim Neu shot 240 for the two-day tournament with scores of 83, 78, and 79 to tie for 49th place.
Sean Bledsoe tied for 58th place with 243 strokes (82-81-80).
Mark Poole shot a 245 (85-83-77) to tie for 65th place.
Lewis Dellinger tied for 74th place with a three-round score of 249 (82-86-81).
Wabash finished with a three-round score of 961. The Little Giants opened play with a round of 325 before trimming four shots with a second-round 321. Wabash shot 315 in the final round to tie with host Berry College with a score of 961. LaGrange College won the tournament with a total of 907 strokes.
