Knowling Fieldhouse/Huntsman Track

Wabash track and field athletes enjoy the comfort of the Knowling Fieldhouse and the Johnson Track during the indoor season. The facility features a 200-meter, six-lane indoor track, enclosed long jump and triple jump pits, and an automatic timing system. Wabash was the host of the 2001 and 2011 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships. The Fieldhouse has also served as the host facility for the 2016 and 2018 NCAA Division III Wrestling Regionals

Once the season moves outside, the J. Owen Huntsman Outdoor Track. Completely resurfaced in 2020, the track is an eight-lane surface from Beynon Sports on the same site that hosted conference and Little State competitions, and even the Olympic Trials in the decathlon many years ago.

Distance runners say they don't need fancy facilities, just open roads. There are plenty of open roads around Crawfordsville, and our nationally recognized cross country team finds rural Montgomery County to provide a scenic backdrop for piling up the mileage. Little Giant harriers also enjoy the cool, wooded comforts of the Fuller Arboretum, where Wabash hosts the Wabash Hokum Karem at the start of every season.
