Wabash College Athletics

Class of 1952 Fitness Center

"Wabash provides for its students an unusually informal, egalitarian, and participatory environment which encourages young men to adopt a life of intellectual and creative growth, self-awareness, and physical activity."

The Allen Athletics and Recreation Center shows the Wabash dedication to lifetime fitness and wellness by providing the 6,700-square-foot Class of 1952 Fitness Center that rivals any facility in Division III. A combination of Cybex and Hammer Strength equipment, as well as free weights and aerobic fitness equipment, allows users to tailor a workout to their specific needs.

A new designated weightlifting facility opened to the Wabash College community in February 2018. The renovations and new equipment upgrade were made possible by a generous gift from Jay ’79 and Susan Allen.

The space is in the former Max Servies ’58 wrestling room, located behind the weight room in the Allen Athletics and Recreation Center. Some of the new equipment featured in the facility includes six power cages with power combo benches, six power glute machines, two dual cable columns, new dumbbell equipment, power bands, and power clean stations built into the floor.
