Tyler Holmes was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the 28-17 Wabash football victory over Wittenberg on Saturday. The offensive linemen who blocked for Holmes and the rest of the Little Giants were named to the
D3football.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware.
Holmes rushed for a career-best 111 yards on 19 carries to lead the Wabash rushing attack. The sophomore's previous single-game best was a 64-yard effort in the first game of the season at Wooster.

Jake Shaffer, and All-American tackle
Weston Kitley — along with key backups
Chris Daniel and
Mark Riffle — helped the Little Giants run for a total of 283 yards on 66 carries (despite minus-37 yards on three kneel downs and a bad punt snap), the second-highest single game rushing attempts total in Wabash history. The record is 76 rushes against Washington University-St. Louis in 1970. Wittenberg entered Saturday's game allowing only 134 rushing yards a game.
