Charlie Kolisek has been honored for his efforts on both offense and defense in Wabash College's 27-24 victory over Wittenberg by being named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware.
Kolisek played defensive end — the position for which he was recognized by D3football.com — and tight end for the Little Giants in the key North Coast Athletic Conference victory. He recorded an interception on the first pass play of the game by the Tigers. Later he recorded a sack on third down on the final Wittenberg offensive play of the next-to-last series of the game for the Tigers.
Kolisek also caught the first touchdown pass of the game and of his college career. He hauled in a 4-yard reception in the second quarter to give the Little Giants a lead they would never relinquish. Kolisek also caught an 8-yard pass on third down to extend the final Wabash drive of the game — a 17-play drive that covered 48 yards and took 9:32 off the game clock. Kolisek's reception was the only pass attempt on the final drive for the Little Giants.
This marks the third time this season a Wabash player has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week. Kolisek joins
Chase Belton and
Cody Buresh as past honorees.
