One-Goal Difference Ends in Wabash Loss

Freshman Geno James led Wabash with five total shots and two shots in goal in a 1-0 loss to Earlham Sunday afternoon.
Box Score The Wabash soccer team owned a 10-5 shot advantage Sunday afternoon but a goal in the 39th minute gave Earlham a 1-0 road victory in the final match of the Fourth Annual Robbie Dreher Classic..

The Little Giants fired 10 total shots, including five shots on goal with one coming in the last two minutes of the match. However, Earlham goalkeeper Aaron Falsetto kept a clean sheet to guide the Quakers to a 2-1 record for the season.

Wabash freshman Geno James was active all match long, tallying five total shots while putting two on net. George Vinihakis, Riley Pelton, and Blake Jennings added the the other three shots on goal for the Little Giants.

Dayton Jennings took the loss in his fourth start of the season. He picked up on save on three shots on goal by Earlham. The Quakers notched the only score of the match in the 39th minute on a shot by Ameer Yusuf.

Wabash (1-2-1) begins a stretch of six consecutive road matches on Wednesday with a 7:30 p.m. contest at Franklin College.
