The Wabash lacrosse team posted its best showing of the season in a 10-6 loss to Methodist University as part of the Little Giants' spring break trip to South Carolina.

Wabash trailed 7-2 at halftime after
Glenn Patterson and Adrian Tejada provided the only goals in the first 30 minutes of play. The Little Giants dominated the third period, shutting out the Monarchs in the span of 15 minutes. Freshman
Austin Crosley added two more goals to his season totals to cut the lead to 7-4.

Zach Darabaris added an unassisted goal to open fourth period to bring Wabash to within two goals. Methodist responded with a pair of goals to stretch the lead back to four before Patterson added his second goal of the match for a 9-6 edge. The Monarchs (4-3) closed out the scoring with a final goal at 2:13 for the win.

Todd Hoogland recorded a season-high 24 saves. Wabash picked up six goals on 15 shots on goal for the match. Tejada led the way for the Little Giants with six shots on goal. He also recorded six grounds balls and won four faceoffs.

Wabash (0-3) returns to action Saturday when the Little Giants play their first North Coast Athletic Conference lacrosse match at the College of Wooster at 1 p.m.
