Wabash College earned its fifth consecutive win with an opening 7-3 decision over MacMurray College on a perfect Sunday afternoon for baseball. The Little Giants dropped the second game of the doubleheader 6-1.

MacMurray  (18-15) jumped out to a one run lead on the Little Giants early in the top half of the first inning of game one. The Little Giants fought right back and answered with a four-run bottom of the first inning to take the lead 4-1.

Sean Roginski from third base to spark the offense.
Andrew Roginski followed suit with a double that traced the left field foul line and cleared the bases. Wabash never looked back and continued to tack on runs throughout the game.

Andrew Roginski led the Wabash offense in game one with three hits, including a double, in four at bats.
KJ Zelenika finished 1 for 3, and drove in the final Wabash run in the second inning. The Little Giants capitalized on an abundance of MacMurray walks and a lone error to secure the seven-inning victory.

Starting pitcher
Jensen Kirch contributed a solid outing on the mound for the Little Giants, throwing five innings and surrendering three runs on 10 hits with three strikeouts. He earned the win, moving his record to 5-1.
Cameron Glaze sealed the victory with two innings of relief work. He allowed one hit out of the seven batters he faced.

Game two was an error-heavy affair for the Little Giants. MacMurray again jumped out to a lead in the first inning, this time by a 3-0 margin. The Highlanders continued to tack on runs to add to their shut out until Zelenika reached on a fielder's choice, driving in Oliger in the fourth inning, making the score 5-1.

Offense was extremely scarce for the Little Giants in the Sunday finale. Wabash only tallied two hits in nine innings and could not take advantage of the five walks handed out by MacMurray..

Michael Herrmann (2-2) took the loss, after going 6.0 innings, allowing six runs on nine hits with two strikeouts.
Cody Cochran relieved Herrmann in the seventh inning. Cochran working two innings of one-hit baseball.
Tyler Cooper threw a perfect ninth inning to close out the game.

Wabash (16-10) plays Cleary University at home on Monday at 4:30 pm first pitch. The Little Giants travel to Earlham College Wednesday for a nine-inning affair set to begin at 4 p.m. in Richmond, Indiana.
