"It's was a pretty competitive game," Wabash head coach
Chris Keller said. "I thought we played well enough to win. We created a lot of chances in front of the goal and just missed out on a few opportunities. It really had the feel of a North Coast Athletic Conference-style game where one mistake would make the difference. Credit Hanover for taking advantage of our errors. Â
Â
"I did like how we played as a unit. Unfortunately, we just came up on the short end of the score. We'll rebuild and get ready for Rose-Hulman Wednesday and three big games on our schedule this week."
Â
Wabash outshot Hanover 12-10 overall, but the Panthers put five shots on net compared to four for Wabash.
Francisco Trejo led the Little Giants with two shots on goal.
Bayden Lee and Krsteski each finished with one.
Â
David Daugherty made three saves in 99:09 minutes of play at goalkeeper for Wabash.
