Wabash shot 61 percent from the field in the second half of Saturday's North Coast Athletic Conference basketball game at Oberlin to claim a 70-57 win for the Little Giants.

Harrison Hallstrom recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 16 points and a career-best 15 rebounds. The sophomore helped Wabash (12-11, 8-8 NCAC) remain tied for fifth place with Denison in conference standings with two game remaining in the regular season.

The Little Giants recovered from a tough shooting first half despite owning a 27-25 lead at the break. Oberlin (10-13, 4-12 NCAC) led 11-8 six minutes into the game. Wabash regained a one-point lead at 14-13 on
Alex Eberhard's free throw at 10:14 of the half.

Christian Fioretti scored back-to-back layups ahead of a three-point basket by Eli Silverman-Lloyd to give the Yeomen a six-point lead. Oberlin maintained the lead until Hallstrom scored a put-back layup prior to three-pointers by Eberhard and
Connor Rotterman to give Wabash the two-point halftime lead.

The Little Giants shot 10-of-29 from the field in the opening period with four of their ten baskets coming from three-point range. Wabash limited the Yeomen to 11 baskets on 27 attempts in the first half.

Wabash pulled away at the start of the second half, opening the period with a 10-1 run sparked by a pair of Rotterman three-pointers for a 37-26 lead. The Little Giants expanded the lead to as many as 15 points with 13 minutes to play with baskets from Hallstrom and
Jack Davidson. The freshman was held to two points in the first half before finishing with 14 for the game.

The Little Giants kept up the defensive pressure, holding Oberlin to 12-of-34 shooting (35.3 percent) and forced eight turnovers. While limiting Oberlin to 32 points over the final 20 minutes, Wabash improved to 13-of-21 from the field and nailed five of its ten three-point tries in the period. The Little Giants outrebounded Oberlin 38-31 for the game.

Rotterman joined Hallstrom and Davidson in double-figure scoring with 13 points. He finished 3-of-6 from three-point range.

Silverman-Lloyd and Fioretti each finished with 14 points to lead Oberlin in scoring. Wabash limited Fioretti to five points in the second half after he tallied nine to lead the Yeomen in the first half.

Wabash begins the final week of the regular with a home game Wednesday against DePauw University. Tipoff at Chadwick Court is 7:30 p.m. The Little Giants hold a two-game lead over the seventh-place Tigers heading into Wednesday's game. Wabash closes the regular season Saturday, February 17 at Denison.
