Wabash closed out its spring break trip to Arizona with a doubleheader sweep of North Central University Friday evening. The Little Giants won game one 8-1 before belting out 11 hits in an 11-5 win in game two.

Wabash (8-2) won its final five games and finished with a 6-1 record overall for the trip.

Bryan Roberts improved to 2-0 for the season with a complete-game four-hit performance on the mound. The senior limited North Central (0-7) to one run and did not walk a batter. He struck out a career-best nine.

The Little Giants plated three runs in the first inning of game one.
Jackson Blevins drove home the first run with an RBI single to center.
Bryce Aldridge followed with a double to right center to score
Sean Roginski and Blevins for the 3-0 lead.

Wabash added another run in the fifth on a double steal to send Blevins in with the fourth run of the game.

The Rams scored their lone run in the bottom of the fifth, but Wabash answered on a triple to right center off the bat of Roginski to bring
Jared Wolfe home for a 5-1 lead. Blevins added another RBI with a ground out to first to score Roginski.

Andrew Jumonville hit a sacrifice in the top of the seventh to add another run after a double by
Tyler Downing. Wolfe singled through the right side to bring home
Nick Chao with the final run of the game for the 8-1 victory.

Wabash jumped out to an early lead in game two with two runs in the first and another two in the second. The Little Giants answered a two-run fourth from North Central with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning.

Wabash crushed the ball in the fifth inning, hitting for the cycle in the frame with singles from Downing,
Eric Chavez, and
Joe House, a double by Jumanville, and a triple to deep center by Blevins. Aldridge followed Blevins' shot to the center with a monster blast over the wall in left center for his first home run of the season to put Wabash up 9-2.

Aldridge finished 3-for-4 with 4 RBI in game two after posting two RBI in game one. Blevins drove home a pair of runs in the opener, followed by one in game two. Chavez posted two RBI in the finale. House picked up three hits in his start in the second game, including a triple.

Cody Cochran earned the victory in relief of
Sean Smith. Cochran threw two innings, holding the Rams scoreless on three hits with three strikeouts.

Wabash returns to Crawfordsville Saturday and resumes play March 17 with a three-game weekend series at Hanover.
