Wabash, ranked 13th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region poll, won all of its matches in Saturday's 9-0 home win over Elmhurst College.
William Reifeis and
Patrick McAuley showed how they earned the number-one ranking in doubles play in the region, moving to 18-9 in the first doubles flight with an 8-1 victory.
Jordan Greenwell and
George Go III had little trouble earning a win at number two singles, taking down their opponents by a score of 8-2.
Nicholas Pollock and
Kirill Ivashchenko combined for an 8-0 victory in the third doubles flight.
Reifeis entered the day ranked 20th in singles play in the Central Region. He won 6-0, 6-1 in his number one singles match. McAuley picked up a win at number two singles by scores of 6-3, 6-0. Greenwell cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory in the third singles flight.
Ivaschchenko ended the day without losing a single game in doubles or singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 win in fourth singles action. Pollock matched Ivashchenko's scoreless string with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the fifth singles flight.
Andrew Denning closed out the win with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at sixth singles.
Wabash improved to 10-8 with the victory. The Little Giants travel to Greencastle to play DePauw University Wednesday at 5 p.m. The Tigers are ranked 12th in the Central Region poll.
