Wabash limited Oberlin to five goals on 25 shot attempts in the first half of Saturday's North Coast Athletic Conference game but was unable to muster its offense in a 13-2 loss.
The Little Giants (2-11, 0-6 NCAC) were held scoreless until the third period when
Jake Taylor scored the first of his two goals in the game. He added one more in the fourth period to answer a five-goal output by the Yeomen (6-7, 1-5 NCAC).
Wabash finished with 22 shots compared to 53 for Oberlin. Goalkeeper
Max Atkins made a career-best 22 saves on 35 shots on goal.
Ben Geier caused three turnovers.
Chase Cochran scooped up six ground balls.
The Little Giants close out the 2018 season next week, starting with a road game Wednesday against Wittenberg University at 4 p.m. before playing their final home game Saturday versus Denison University at 1 p.m.
