Â
"We got off to a pretty slow start," Wabash head coach
Chris Keller said. "We got a boost of energy and gained some composure from some subs who entered the game in the first half like
Michael Zubeck, Riggs, and Boulais.
Â
"We did get a good overall performance defensively. We were pretty solid in the back and didn't give Earlham much to work with offensively. It was a good win on the road. It's always difficult to win at Earlham. Now we look forward to playing a Trine team Saturday that's scoring a lot of goals early in the season."
Â
The Little Giants face Trine in the second game of the Robbie Dreher Classic. The two-day, four-team event begins at 1 p.m. Saturday with Fontbonne University playing Franklin College at Fischer Field, followed by the Wabash vs Trine match. The four teams return to action Sunday with Wabash playing Fontbonne at 1 p.m. and concludes with Trine playing Franklin.
