The Wabash tennis team opened the spring portion of its season at home Saturday. The Little Giants lost to Augustana College by a score of 8-1.

Patrick McAuley, a 2018 All-American as a doubles player, scored the lone victory for Wabash (0-1). McAuley McAuley rallied from a first-set deficit of 7-5 to score a three-set victory. He forced a tiebreaker in the second set to win 7-6 (7-5), then captured the number-one singles win with a 12-10 victory in the third set.

Wabash was scheduled to play Hope College in Saturday's nightcap, but the Flying Dutchmen were unable to make the trip south, forcing the match to be postponed. The two teams will attempt to reschedule the match for a later date in the season. The Little Giants will compete at Kalamazoo College beginning at 10 a.m. next Saturday.
