Tucker Dixon each scored twice in the Wabash lacrosse team's 16-6 loss at Trine University Saturday afternoon in Angola, Indiana.

Wabash (3-5) and Trine (4-1) each recorded 10 saves in the game with neither team scoring on three separate extra-man opportunities. The host Thunder outshot Wabash 46-25 and put 26 shots on goal compared to 16 for the Little Giants.

Dixon notched his first goal of the game in the final minute of the first period to cut into a 4-0 lead by Trine. The Thunder expanded the lead to 9-1 before Dixon scored again in the second period. Stark,
Drayden Hansen, and
Collin Brennan each tallied goals in the third period with Stark scoring his second goal in the final period to produce the final score.

Wabash collected 29 ground balls and finished with 11 caused turnovers.
Evan Schiefelbein returned to the lineup to lead the team with seven ground balls and three caused turnovers. The Little Giants went 12-of-20 on clearing opportunities and won eight face offs.

Wabash opens the North Coast Athletic Conference portion of its 2019 lacrosse schedule next Saturday when the Little Giants play host to the Hiram College Terriers at 1 p.m. at Fischer Field. Â
