Little Giants Drop Tight 7-6 Lacrosse Final To Huntingdon
Wabash came up on the short end of a defensive lacrosse battle in Montgomery, Alabama, Tuesday evening as the Little Giants lost 7-6 to Huntingdon College.

The two teams combined for 81 total shot attempts but were limited to a total of 13 goals. Wabash (2-2) caused 13 turnovers. Zach Larue and Even Schiefelbein led the way for the Little Giants with four caused turnovers apiece.

Wabash took the early lead on an unassisted goal by
Collin Brennan in the first 1:01 of the contest. The Little Giants made that goal stand for most of the opening period until Huntingdon (3-3) evened the score at 1-1 with 1:21 left to play in the first period. The Hawks added another score before the end of the period to take a 2-1 lead.

Brennan picked up another goal off an assist from
Tucker Dixon, the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week.
Jake Taylor scored with 3:05 remaining in the half off a pass from Brennan to put Wabash in front 3-2 at the break.

Huntingdon scored three goals in the third period to move in front 5-3. Brennan opened the fourth period with his third goal of the night to cut the lead to one. The Hawks pushed the advantage to three with a pair of goals midway through the final period before
Steven Stark responded off an assist from
Joseph Plencner. Taylor made it a one-score game with a goal with 1:48 left to play. Wabash forced a turnover after Huntingdon won the ensuing faceoff. Dixon and Plencner both fired shots in the final 20 seconds of regulation in an effort to tie the score, but the Hawks held on for the victory.

The Wabash defense allowed only 16 shots on goal.
