Matthew Annee hit a one-out single in the top of ninth inning of game two between Wabash and Wooster to send
Jackson Blevins racing home from second base with the possible tying run for the visiting Little Giants. A perfect throw by the Scots' right fielder cut Blevins down at the plate, giving Wooster the 8-7 victory. Wabash lost game one 10-0 in seven innings to lose both games of the doubleheader against the seventh-ranked Scots.

The two teams combined for 10 extra-base hits, including six home runs, out of 23 total hits in the game. Wabash (13-14, 1-6 NCAC) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a Blevins solo homer, his second of the season. Wooster (15-6, 6-0 NCAC) answered with a three-run effort in the bottom of the first before

Wooster added a run in the third and another in the fourth to move in front 5-2 before the Little Giants put three runs on the scoreboard in the fifth inning to tie the score at 5-5. Annee produced a one-out single, then moved to second on a single by Jumonville. Lange blasted his second home run of the season over the right field fence to even the score.

Wabash took a 6-5 lead in the sixth inning on a solo home run by
Sean Roginski to open the frame. The Little Giants threatened to add more runs in the inning with two runners aboard with one out but could not capitalize.

Wooster took the lead for good with a three-run seventh inning. Wabash closed the lead to 8-7 when Annee launched a leadoff home run to right center in the top of the eighth inning. The Little Giants had another opportunity to tie the score or take the lead with runners at second and third with one out but once again were unable to take advantage.

Blevins singled with one out in the top of the ninth inning and moved to second after Roginski was hit by a pitch. Annee laced his fourth hit of the game to right in an effort to tie the game but the throw home produced the second out of the inning and sent Roginski to second. A final strikeout ended the game.

Annee went 4-of-6 at the plate while Blevins and Lange each collected three hits. Lange led the team with three RBI in the game.
Dylan Scheid (1-3) took the loss in relief of starter
Tyler Dearing. Dearing pitched six innings and allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits with three walks and three strikeouts. Scheid was charged with two runs (one earned) on one walk with one batter reaching base on an error.

Kevin O'Donnell combined for 1-2/3 innings of relief work for Wabash.

Wooster slammed five home runs in game one and used a five-run fifth inning to pull out to an 8-0 lead over the Little Giants. The Scots tacked on a run in the sixth and scored the game-ending run with one out in the bottom of the seventh.
Kase Lawson fell to 3-2 with loss as the starter for Wabash. He pitched four innings and allowed six runs on eight hits and one walk. He struck out one batter.
Parker Noll and Logan Butram pitched in relief for Wabash and combined to allow four runs on five hits. Butrum struck out two batters.

Jared Wolfe produced the only two hits for Wabash as Scots' starter Chandler Dippman improved to 5-2 by holding Wabash to three baserunners in the game.

Wabash travels to Ohio Wesleyan Tuesday for a two-game series against the Battling Bishops. First pitch of game one is set for 1 p.m.
