Sean Roginski became the all-time hits leader in Wabash College history on Saturday, helping the Little Giants to a 7-1 victory over tenth-ranked Denison University in Granville, Ohio.

Roginski collected his 207
th career hit with a single to right field in the sixth inning to move out of a tie for the all-time lead with Chris Deig. The base hit came immediately after a single by
Jackson Blevins scored
Jared Wolfe from second base to tie the game at 1-1.

Wabash moved into fourth place in the North Coast Athletic Conference standings. The top-four teams in the final conference standings earn berths in the post-season tournament set to begin in Chillicothe, Ohio beginning Thursday, May 9.

Kase Lawson started the game on the mound for the Little Giants (21-16, 9-7 NCAC) and pitched 6-1/3 innings. He allowed one run one seven hits and escaped a bases-loaded situation in the second inning without allowing a run to score. Denison (33-6, 13-4 NCAC) picked up its lone run in the in the fourth inning when Wabash turned a double play on a bases-loaded ground out. Lawson retired the next batter to end threat. He struck out three batters in the game.

Zach Moffett entered the game in relief of Lawson in the seventh with one out and runners at first and second. He retired the next two batters to end the Big Red scoring opportunity.

Wabash took the lead in the top of the eighth inning.
Matthew Annee sparked a six-run inning, launching his fifth home run of the season to lead off the eighth off reliever Mikey Rivera to put the Little Giants in front 2-1.
Austin Simmers added another run with a sacrifice fly to score
Cameron Martin. Blevins produced two more RBI with a single to center to bring home
Eric Chavez and
Nick Chao for a 4-1 lead. Roginski followed with his second single of the game to scored Wolfe. Annee picked up his second RBI of the inning with a single to score Blevins and complete the six-run inning.

Moffett need no additional help, earning his fourth win of the season by pitching 2-2/3 innings and retiring eight of the nine batters he faced. He walked one batter and did not allow a hit while striking out four batters. Rivera took the loss for Denison, pitching 2/3 of an inning and allowing six runs on three hits.

Wolfe finished with three of the 13 hits in the game for Wabash. Roginski, Blevins, Annee, and Chavez each collected two hits.

Game two between the two teams was halted due to rain in the top of the second inning with no score. The game will be completed on Sunday in Granville, Ohio beginning at noon. Sunday's previously scheduled game at Wabash against Allegheny has been cancelled.
