Lange Named To Google Cloud Academic All-America Baseball Team

Erich Lange, a recent graduate of Wabash College, has been named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division III baseball team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Lange earned Second Team Academic All-America honors as a catcher.
 
Lange, a political science and German double-major, graduated summa cum laude in May with a 3.91 cumulative grade point average. Lange played in 34 games with 31 starts for Wabash in 2019. He led the team and ranked seventh overall in the North Coast Athletic Conference with a .393 batting average. Lange also led the Little Giants with a .625 slugging percentage, a .489 on-base percentage, and 39 RBI. He hit five home runs tied for the team lead. Lange ranked sixth in the NCAC in on-base percentage and seventh in slugging percentage. He was a four-year member of the Wabash baseball team.
 
The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Division III Academic All-America® teams program. A total of 33 student-athletes were named to three respective teams of the 2019 Google Cloud All-America ® baseball team.
