Junior swimmer Wesley Slaughter has been named the Wabash College Scholar-Athlete of the Week presented by Hoosier Heartland State Bank for the period ending January 26, 2020.
 
Slaughter, a biochemistry major, raced to a pair of first-place finishes Saturday for the Little Giants in a double dual meet against the eighth-ranked University of Chicago team and the NCAA Division I squad from the University of Illinois-Chicago. Slaughter touched the wall in 21.03 to win the 50-yard free style. He added an individual victory in the 100-yard freestyle by finishing in 45.57 for his second-quickest time of the season in that event. Slaughter earned the Scholar-Athlete of the Week Award for the second time this season.
