Wabash was unable to rally from an early doubles deficit in its opening home tennis match of the 2020 season. The Little Giants lost to Franklin College 8-1 Saturday afternoon at the Collett Tennis Center.

The Wabash (0-3) number-one doubles team of
Nieshaal Thambipillay and
Reed Mathis battled Franklin's (3-3) top squad of Blake Amonett and Pollard before the Grizzlies' duo claimed an 8-5 win. Thambipillay avenged the loss with a straight-sets win at number one singles, defeating Amonett 6-4, 7-5.

Wabash will play a series of home matches next weekend, starting with a Friday evening contest against Kalamazoo College at 5 p.m. The Little Giants play Earlham College at 5 p.m. on Saturday before completing the weekend with a 1:30 p.m. Sunday match versus 11
th-ranked Kenyon College.
