The Wabash tennis team battled to the tiebreaker in a third set of number two singles in its 5-4 loss to Brevard College Wednesday afternoon. The Little Giants lost to Franciscan University 9-0 in the morning session.

Wabash (0-12) began the match against Brevard by scoring two victories in doubles play.
Reed Mathis and
Emerson Courter combined for an 8-7 win at number one doubles with a score of 9-7 in the tiebreaker.
Devin Vanyo and
Paul Hargitt easily handled their number two doubles match with an 8-4 victory.

Mathis added a win in straight sets at number one singles by scores of 6-3, 6-1. Courter captured a straight-sets win at number four singles (6-4, 6-3). Hargitt rallied after losing his first set at number two singles 7-6 (10-8) by winning the second set by a score of 6-1. He was unable to earn the win in the third set, losing by a score of 10-5 in the tiebreaker.

The Little Giants were swept in all nine matches in the morning match against Franciscan. Wabash will complete its spring break trip to Orlando, Florida with a match against Hampden-Sydney College Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
