Wabash outscored Mount St. Joseph 12-1 in the first half of Saturday's home lacrosse contest in an eventual 23-7 victory for the host Little Giants.

Ethan Stonis tied the program record for goals in a game with seven and finished with the second-most points with a total of 10 by handing out an additional three assists.
Jake Taylor tallied nine points with a combination of four goals and five assists.
Joseph Plencner put the Little Giants on the scoreboard in the first period with his fourth goal of the season. He added a second goal two minutes later in the first period for a 2-0 lead.
Drayden Hansen scored with 9:27 remaining in the opening period before Stonis added a final goal to give Wabash a 4-0 lead after one period of action.

Stonis scored the opening goal of the second period as part of an eight-goal offensive assault by the Little Giants. Plencner picked up his third goal of the game before Mount St. Joseph (0-3) scored with 10:30 remaining in the half to make the score 6-1. The Little Giants reeled off the next six goals to provide the 12-1 lead at the halftime break. Taylor notched his first goal of the contest followed by a goal from
AJ Shaheen along with goals from Plencner, Hansen, and Stonis. Shaheen added the final goal of the second period for his second of the contest.

Taylor added his second goal of the game to open the scoring in the second half. Wabash got goals from Stonis, Shaheen, Hansen, and
Chase Cochran to close out the period. The Little Giants scored seven goals in the third period for a 19-4 lead heading into the fourth period.

Stonis scored a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes along with a fourth goal from Taylor.
Luke Paul ended the scoring for Wabash with his first career collegiate goal to provide the 23-7 final score.

Max Atkins recorded seven saves in goal to earn his first win of the season. The Little Giants outshot MSJ 65-21 overall and put 42 shots on goal compared to 14 for the Lions.

Cornelius Pettinga finished 21-of-30 from the faceoff dot and grabbed 11 ground balls for Wabash. Evan Shiefelbein scooped a game-high 13 ground balls for Wabash. Schiefelbein and Hansen each finished with three caused turnovers in the game.

Wabash returns to action on March 19 when the Little Giants play Concordia University-Chicago at Arlotta Stadium on the University of Notre Dame campus in South Bend, Indiana.
