The Wabash tennis team competed against in-state rival Hanover College in a pair of matches Sunday afternoon at the Collett Tennis Center. The Little Giants lost by scores of 7-2 and 6-3.

The number two doubles team of
Cole Borden and
Paul Hargitt provided a thrilling 8-7 victory in the first match. Trailing 7-3, the Wabash duo ran off a string of four consecutive wins to force a tiebreaker. Borden and Hargitt picked up the overall win with a score of 7-4 in the tiebreaker.

Reese Long scored the lone singles win for Wabash in the open match. The freshman earned a three-set 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 win in the fifth flight.

Borden picked up one of three singles wins for Wabash (1-3) in the second match versus the Panthers. He won by scores of 6-4, 6-2 at number two singles.
Trevor McKinney added a straight-sets win at number four singles by identical 6-4 scores.
Elias Courter added the final team point for the Little Giants at number six singles with a 7-6, 6-3 victory.

Wabash will travel to Franklin College on Saturday for matches against the host Grizzlies as well as Ohio Christian University beginning at 10 a.m.
