A goal by
Timothy Herring in the 28th minute evened the score at 1-1 between the Wabash College soccer team and Wittenberg University. The Saturday afternoon match between the two teams ended in a 1-1 double-overtime draw.

Herring, who recently played for the United States Virgin Islands national team in the World Cup Group A qualifying matches against Antigua and Barbuda, scored his first goal of the season on an unassisted attempt two minutes after Wittenberg had taken a 1-0 lead.

Wabash (0-2-1) fired a total of 17 shots at Wittenberg (0-2-1) in the match. The Little Giants held possession in their offensive half of the pitch for 66 percent of their possessions.

Wabash had one scoring opportunity in the second overtime that was saved by the Wittenberg goalkeeper. Wabash goalkeeper
Chad Wunderlich finished the game with four saves, including one in the first overtime period and two more in the second.

Austin Hughes each recorded three shots and one shot on goal for Wabash.
