Wabash extended its winning streak to 16 games with an 81-72 victory at DePauw Wednesday evening in North Coast Athletic Conference action. The 20
th-ranked Little Giants picked up their first victory in Greencastle since January 2018.

Wabash (20-3, 15-1 NCAC) took an early lead in the game on a three-pointer from
Jack Davidson. The senior guard, who was named to the Bevo Francis Award Top-50 Watch List, connected on four consecutive three-point baskets to put the Little Giants in front 12-4.

DePauw (10-12, 7-9 NCAC) answered with an 8-0 run to even the score at 12-12.
Tyler Watson ended that run with a layup off a pass from Davidson to give Wabash the lead it would never relinquish. The teams traded baskets over the final 13 minutes of the half with Wabash claiming a four-point lead at 36-32.

Wabash opened the second half with a 7-2 run in the first two minutes to move in front 43-34. The Little Giants mixed the outside and inside game as
Kellen Schreiber scored two consecutive baskets ahead of another triple from Davidson. The Tigers cut the lead back to four points before a three-pointer from Watson pushed the lead back to seven at 46-39. Watson and Davidson scored back-to-back baskets to push the lead to double digits at 50-40.

The Tigers made one more run, getting as close as 58-54 with 11:15 left in the game. The inside game of Schreiber and
Jesse Hall pushed the lead back to 11 points Wabash maintained its double-digit lead until a basket by Elijah Hales with 4:25 left in the game. Watson ended any chances for DePauw to draw closer. He scored five of the next six points for the Little Giants to push the lead back to 12 in the final three minutes before ending up with the nine-point victory.

Wabash shot 29-of-49 from the field for 59.2 percent. The Little Giants hit half of its 20 three-point tries but were an uncharacteristic 13-of-17 from the free-throw line for 76.5 percent. Wabash came into the game shooting 81.8 percent from the line. The Tigers shot 24-of-57 for the game (42.1 percent) and went 10-of-21 from three-point range for 47.6 percent. DePauw came into the game as the top free-throw shooting team in Division III and continued that trend, hitting 14-of-15 shots from the stripe.

Davidson led Wabash with 26 points. He also grabbed six rebounds and gave out five of the Little Giants' 17 assists. Watson scored 20 points to go with five rebounds and a game-high eight assists. Hall came off the bench to match his season-high of 14 points. Schreiber finished with 10 points, all coming in the second half.
Sam Comer led the team with a career-high eight rebounds along with a career-best six points.

Hales scored 23 to pace DePauw's offense. Grant Niego added 15 points. Nolan Niego scored 13 points and Ronald Johnson chipped in with 11 points.

Wabash wraps up the regular season at home on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Kenyon College. The Lords won their first NCAC victory of the season Wednesday night with a 70-62 victory over Hiram. Wabash will honor the four senior members of the basketball team prior to Saturday's opening tip.
