The Wabash volleyball team suffered a heartbreaking five-set loss to Rockford Regents Saturday evening in Rockford, Illinois.

The Little Giants (2-9) captured the first set 25-18 but took a tight 25-22 loss in the second. Wabash rallied to capture the third set 25-15 before falling behind 20-12 in the fourth before losing 25-17 to set up the decisive fifth set.

Wabash led 13-11 and appeared ready to put the match away until Rockford (3-14) closed out the contest by scoring the final four points for a 15-13 win to claim the 3-2 overall victory.

Ricky Sessions paced Wabash on offense with a team-high 13 kills.
Jackson Leeper put away 12 kills for the Little Giants.
Zachary Small picked up 37 assists.
Luke Davis and Leeper each finished the match with three blocks.
Luis Rivera posted a team-best 22 digs. Davis added 16 digs and Small scored 13 digs.
