Wabash opened the 2022 portion of its tennis season Saturday at home against Rose-Hulman. The Little Giants played a tight match throughout before losing 5-4.

Wabash (0-1) captured two of the doubles' matches to score an early 2-1 lead.
Cole Borden and
Liam Grennon combined for an 8-5 victory in the first doubles flight.
Alvaro Alonso-Sanchez and
Jett Brownlee earned an 8-2 victory in the second doubles flight.

Rose-Hulman (1-0) captured victories in the first two singles matches. Grennon won the third singles flight by scores of 7-6 (3), 6-1. Christian Zimmerman gave Wabash a 4-3 lead in the team score after winning his number four singles match 7-6, 6-4. Rose battled back to take the number five singles match to tie the score at 4-4 before earning the final victory of the afternoon in sixth singles for the 5-4 overall score.

Wabash will travel to Chicago, Illinois next Saturday to play at the Illinois Institute of Technology in a 4 p.m. (CST) match.
