The Wabash College baseball team erupted for a total of 35 runs in two games on Sunday. The Little Giants swept a doubleheader at Anderson University with a 14-5 victory in game one before taking game two 21-6 in eight innings in game two.

Wabash (19-12) collected 14 hits in each of the two games and never trailed in either contest. The Little Giants took a 2-0 lead in the first inning of game one on a two-run triple by
Kamden Earley. The Little Giants took advantage of a bases-loaded opportunity in the fourth inning by scoring six times. The first two runs came home on a walk and a hit batsman before a two-run double by
AJ Reid. Two more runs scored on a passed ball and throwing error to put the Little Giants in front 8-0.

Liam Patton hit a solo home run in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 9-3 after Anderson (16-15) tallied three runs in the fifth.
Camden Scheidt added an RBI single in the seventh and added another in the eighth after a ground ball RBI by Earley to make the score 12-3. Reid and Earley each provided runs in the ninth with sacrifice flies after the Ravens scored a run in the eighth. Anderson picked up one more run in the ninth inning before
Tavic Simmons closed the door to finish up the game.

Earley finished with two hits and four RBI in game one. Reid added three RBI and two hits to the Wabash team totals.
Noah Luebbehusen led the team with three hits. Wabash collected a total of eight walks in the game to go with its 14 hits.

Jacob Bishop earned his team-best fifth victory of the season. He pitched seven innings and held Anderson to three runs on three hits. Bishop struck out eight batters and walked seven. Simmons pitched the final two innings, limiting Anderson to two runs on two hits and one walk.

Wabash plastered nine runs onto the scoreboard in the first two innings of game two. Earley opened the scoring with an RBI bunt single in the first inning. The Little Giants played long ball in the second inning. Reid launched a three-run home run to put Wabash in front 4-0. Lubbehuesen doubled the score four batters later by hitting a grand slam for his first home run of the season to provide an 8-0 lead. Scheidt scored later in the inning on a wild pitch to make it a 9-0 ballgame.

Reece Bauer drove in a pair of runs in the fourth inning with a single to left.
Gavin Pierson pinch ran for Wabash in the fifth inning and scored on an Anderson throwing error ahead of a sacrifice fly from
Felix Valero to make it a 13-6 contest.

Lubbehuesen tripled to center to open the seventh inning and scored on a wild pitch. Patton crushed his second home run of the day with a solo shot to left-center field in the eighth inning to provide a 15-6 lead. Scheidt drove in another run in the inning with a bases-loaded single. Valero added an RBI with a walk.
Julian Rutherford added another run with a walk to push the lead to 18-6.
Alex Washlock added a two-run single to right before Patton came to the plate for the second time in the inning and drove in the final run of the contest for Wabash with a bases-loaded walk to cap the seven-run seventh inning.

Luebbehusen's four RBI led the team in game two. Reid finished with three RBI on two hits. Patton, Valero, and Bauer each added two RBI.

Robbie Manuzzi improved to 3-0 by pitching four innings of four-hit baseball. He gave up four earned runs and three walks while striking out three batters.
Braeden Bryant pitched the final four innings, holding Anderson to one hit and two walks. He struck out a career-high eight batters.

Wabash returns to the North Coast Athletic Conference portion of its schedule next Saturday with a doubleheader at Hiram College.
