Jack Davidson received the Pete Vaughan Outstanding Athlete Award and the Indianapolis Association of Wabash Men Scholar-Athlete Award at the annual Wabash College Awards Chapel held Thursday evening at the Pioneer Chapel.
 
The Pete Vaughan Award is elected by the Wabash College athletics coaching staff to the individual deemed the most top Little Giant athlete of the year. Davidson won the Pete Vaughan Award for the first time in 2019. The IAWM Scholar-Athlete Award is presented by the Indianapolis alumni association to the Wabash senior who has best demonstrated the combination of scholarship and athletics throughout their career.
 
Davidson and his Wabash teammates won the 2021-22 North Coast Athletic Conference regular-season and conference tournament titles. The Little Giants earned a berth in the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament for the first time since 1998. Wabash advanced to the semifinals of the 2022 tournament and finished the season with a record of 28-4 to post the most victories in a single season in school history.  
 
Davidson set the Wabash basketball all-time scoring record by tallying 2,464 points over his four-year career. His 22.4 points-per-game scoring average is also the Wabash career record. Davidson also owns the Wabash basketball career records for free throws made (718), games played (110), and is second in career assists (377), three-point baskets (324), and third in career field goals made (711).
 
Davidson set new single-season high-water marks for points scored with a total of 817 to lead the nation in the 2021-22 season. He made 123 three-point field goals and 210 free throws during the 2021-22 season to also set Wabash single-season records while leading the nation in both categories.
 
Davidson added a room's worth of trophies to his personal collection this season. He earned the Jostens Trophy Men's Basketball Award presented to the most outstanding Division III basketball player of the year. He earned North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year honors for the second time in his career in addition to receiving the 2022 Al Van Wie Award as the NCAC Men's Basketball Tournament Most Valuable Player. Davidson was a finalist for the 2022 Bevo Francis Small College Player of the Year Award and was named to the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball All-Tournament Team. He earned a place on the D3hoops.com All-America First Team and was voted to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division III All-America Third Team. A First Team All-Conference selection, Davidson was also named the D3hoops.com/ Region 7 Player of the Year.
 
Davidson's accomplishments in the classroom as an economics major with a 3.68 cumulative grade point average netted him Academic All-America First Team honors, marking his third selection to the Academic All-America team after earning Second Team honors in 2019 and Third Team honors in 2020.
