Wabash rallied from a first-set loss at North Park University Friday evening to capture the second set and evened the match. The Little Giants lost the final two sets in a 3-1 road loss to the host Vikings.

Wabash (2-2) lost the opening set 25-19. The Little Giants trailed 3-0 before a comeback effort to take a 5-4 lead. North Park (3-2) responded with seven consecutive points to jump back in front 11-5. The Little Giants were never able to get closer than five points in the opening-set defeat.

Wabash and North Park traded points in the second set to a 5-5 tie. The Little Giants scored the next two points to take the final lead of the set and held on for a 25-21 victory to even the match at one set apiece.

The two teams matched points in the third set, playing to a 3-3 tie before the Vikings scored three consecutive points to take the lead for good on the way to a 25-14 victory and a 2-1 overall lead. Wabash took the early lead in a fourth set that saw nine ties and five lead changes. The final tie came late in the contest at 22-22. North Park scored the next two points before a block by

Patrick Volk extended the set with Wabash trailing 24-23. The Vikings put the match away, scoring the final point for the 25-23 victory in the fourth set and a 3-1 final score for the match.

Volk led the Little Giants with 17 kills in 38 total attempts.
Ricky Sessions added 12 kills in four sets.
Will Beikes recorded 27 assists.
Zachary Small picked up 14 assists. Sessions also finished the match with a team-high four service aces and 17 digs.
Luis Rivera made ten digs for the evening.
Jackson Leeper made three solo blocks and assisted on three more. Wabash finished the evening with eight block assists in the contest.

Wabash completes its weekend trip to Chicago with a pair of Saturday afternoon matches. The Little Giants play at Benedictine University at 11 a.m. CT and will face Trine University at 2 p.m. CT.
