Little Giants Rout Swarthmore in 23-4 Win

PORT CHARLOTTE, FL – The Wabash College baseball team blasted 26 hits with six extra-base hits to power the Little Giants past the Swarthmore Garnet 23-4 on Monday.
 
Kamden Earley and AJ Reid each collected four hits. Liam Patton and Will Phillips each produced three hits. Zach Bielecki had the big blow with a grand slam in the ninth inning to join Patton with four RBI for the game. Phillips drove in three runs.
 
Jacob Bishop (1-1) started on the mound and picked up the win for Wabash (5-4). The left-hander went 5-1/3 innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on two hits, allowing six walks, and striking out eight. Michael Hoppel also made an impact on the mound for the Little Giants, throwing one scoreless inning while allowing no hits.
 
Reid had a double, a walk, and two RBI for the Little Giants. Earley added a triple and four RBI to his four-hit performance, as well
