The Wabash College tennis team earned its first North Coast Athletic Conference victory since the 2017-2018 season on Saturday with its 8-1 win Saturday afternoon at The College of Wooster.

Wabash (10-4, 1-0 NCAC) opened a 3-0 lead by sweeping doubles play.
Ethan Koeneman and
Cole Shifferly scored the first point with an 8-4 victory at number three doubles.
Alvaro Alonso-Sanchez and
Augusto Ghidini combined for an 8-3 win at number two doubles.
Cole Borden and
Liam Grennon scored a 7-3 win in the tiebreaker to take an 8-7 victory at number one singles.

Tharakesh Ashokar put the Little Giants in front 4-0 with his 6-0, 6-2 straight-sets win at number five singles. Borden added a dominating 6-1, 6-0 win in the third singles flight. Grennon was equally in control of his sixth singles match, claiming a 6-2, 6-0 victory. Ghidini made it a 7-0 contest after winning 6-4, 6-3 at number four singles. Alonso-Sanchez needed three sets before earning a 6-3, 7-4, 10-7 victory at number one singles.

Wooster scored its lone point with a three-set win at number two singles.

Wabash wraps up its weekend trip to Ohio with an 11 a.m. match Sunday at Oberlin.
