Wabash College sophomore
Michael Galanos delivered a two-out single in the bottom of the ninth inning to complete a three-run comeback by the Little Giants' baseball team to claim a 7-6 win over Hiram College. Wabash swept the visiting Terriers in the North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader with a 14-4 seven-inning victory in game one.

Wabash (19-10, 4-2 NCAC) trailed Hiram (12-15, 1-7 NCAC) 6-4 entering the ninth inning.
AJ Reid opened the frame with a single up the middle.
Liam Patton drove a ball into the right-center gap that was caught by the Terriers' centerfielder for the first out of the inning. Kamden Early followed with a single through the right side to put runners at first and second.

Freshman
William McKinzie, who entered earlier in the game as a pinch-hitter, delivered a double to left field, but Hiram executed a perfect relay throw to the plate to throw out Earley as he tried to tie the score at 6-6.
Brayden Lentz stepped to the plate and hit a bouncing ball to first base that glanced off the glove of the Terriers' first baseman, allowing McKenzie to race home with the game-tying run.

Reece Bauer came in to pinch run for Lentz and moved to second on a single by
Will Phillips.
Benjamin Henke drew a walk to load the bases to bring Galanos to the plate.

The sophomore had already hit a triple in his first at-bat of the game to go with a single in the eighth inning. This time he produced a ground ball through the left side of the infield to drive home Bauer with the winning run to take the 7-6 victory.

Galanos finished 3-for-5 at the dish with three RBI.
Will Phillips added three hits, as well.
Sam Phillips earned the win in relief for Wabash, working 3-2/3 innings while allowing one run on four hits and two walks with two strikeouts.

Caleb Everson combined to scatter nine hits and ten walks. Hiram stranded 15 baserunners in its six-run effort in game two.

Wabash claimed a much easier win in game one against the Terriers. The Little Giants answered a one-run second inning with six runs in the bottom half of the second, highlighted by a grand slam by Patton for his first homer of the season. The senior catcher drove in five runs in the 14-4 victory. Galanos,

Will Phillips added two RBI apiece. Galanos added another three hits, as did Scheidt. Wabash finished with 15 hits in the game.

Jacob Bishop was dominant on the mound for the Little Giants, recording a career-high ten strikeouts while limiting Hiram to three hits and three earned runs in 6-2/3 innings of work. He walked five batters and threw 110 pitches in the contest. Â Â
