Wabash Honors Lacrosse Seniors In Home Finale

Wabash honored the three seniors on the 2023 lacrosse roster Saturday afternoon before the Little Giants' home finale of the regular season. Wabash lost its home North Coast Athletic Conference matchup against Kenyon College 26-4.

Fans got the opportunity to thank Conner Cochran, AJ Miller, and Ethan Stonis for their contributions over the past four seasons. The trio has provided the leadership to help Wabash (7-7, 1-5 NCAC) post its most victories in a single season this year.

Stonis scored one of the Little Giants' four goals in the contest, tallying his 52nd goal of the season with 10:08 remaining in the contest. Stonis entered the day ranked sixth among Division III players in goals per game, averaging 4.25 a contest.

Quinn Fitzgerald scored twice for the Little Giants. He notched his conference-best 12th man-up goal of the season and came into the game ranked sixth among NCAA DIII players. Josh Taylor tallied the game's first goal for Wabash with an unassisted score in the first period.

Goalkeeper Braeden Cooper made 13 saves while facing 60 total shots by Kenyon (13-1, 6-1 NCAC). Cooper also scooped up five ground balls to lead the Little Giants. Bryce Poling gathered four ground balls in the match. Cochran led Wabash with two caused turnovers.

Wabash travels to Ohio Wesleyan University on Tuesday, April 25, for a 5 p.m. contest against the Battling Bishops.
