Wabash advanced to the semifinal round of the 2023 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament with a 5-4 victory over fourth-seeded Oberlin College in Friday evening's quarterfinal match.

Wabash (14-8) opened play with two wins in doubles.
Cole Shifferly and
Liam Grennon combined for an 8-4 victory at number two doubles.
Augusto Ghidini and
Ethan Koeneman combined for an 8-7 victory at number three doubles with a 7-2 win in the tiebreaker.

Ghidini gave the Little Giants a 3-1 lead with a 6-1, 6-2 win at number four singles.
Cole Borden added a 6-2, 6-2 win at number three singles to put Wabash one win away from advancing in the tournament. Oberlin (10-8) rallied for wins at number one, two, and five singles to tie the score at 4-4.

Grennon provided the game-winning point for the Little Giants with a 7-5, 6-3 straight-sets victory to help the Little Giants avenge a 6-3 loss to the Yeomen earlier this season.

Wabash advances to Saturday's tournament semifinal round and a noon match against top-seeded and nationally-ranked Denison University. The winner will advance to Sunday's championship match against the winner between Kenyon College and the host DePauw University squad, to be played at 3 p.m.
