The Wabash College lacrosse team completed its most successful season in program history Saturday. The Little Giants set a new program record for victories in a season despite a 29-2 loss at 14th-ranked Denison University.

Wabash (7-9, 1-7 North Coast Athletic Conference)Â had previously won five games in three separate seasons since elevating the program to the varsity level in 2013.

The Little Giant got two goals from
Ethan Stonis in the match against Denison (14-3, 7-1 NCAC). The senior, playing in his final game for Wabash, completed his record-setting career with 54 goals to set the Little Giants' single-season record. He added 15 assists in the 2023 campaign for a total of 69 points, also a Wabash single-season record.
Quinn Fitzgerald scored 64 total points with 46 goals and 18 assists to join Stonis as the first duo in program history to each score more than 60 points in a season. Stonis ended his four-year career with 132 total points, fourth-most in Wabash lacrosse history. His 95 career goals are also fourth-most in the Wabash record book. Fitzgerald set a new Wabash single-season record with 12 man-up goals in 2023.

Artie Rogers and
Josh Taylor recorded assists in the loss to Denison. Rogers tied Steve Stark for the Wabash career assists mark with his 67th helper. He finished the season with a record-setting 35 assists and set the program record with an average of 2.19 assists a game.

Luka DiFilippo set a new high-water mark for single-season ground balls with 111.
Braeden Cooper made 11 saves in Saturday's match against Denison and finished his rookie season with 217 saves, second-most in a season behind Max Atkins' record of 224 saves in 2019.

Wabash defeated Hiram College 21-7 for its one conference win. The Little Giants lost 11-10 to Wittenberg when the Tigers scored the game-winning goal with three minutes remaining in the game. The Tigers went on to finish tied for fourth place in the conference standings.
